The purposes of the Victorian Apiarists' Association are:
→ To provide a common organisation representing the Apiarists of the state for the welfare of beekeeping.
→ To work for the advancement of apiculture by the dissemination of information relating to all aspects of beekeeping.
→ To promote the more efficient production and marketing of apicultural products.
→ To secure trading concessions and services to members.
→ To strive for development of local and export markets and the establishment of standards of quality of apiary products & services.
→ To communicate with all Government Departments in all matters appertaining to the welfare of the Association.
→ To encourage scientific investigation, experimental and research work in all aspects of Beekeeping.
→ To protect and improve the honey resources of the state and to communicate with all bodies interested in forest preservation, regeneration and the like.
→ To secure effective legislation and administration in matters affecting the industry and to assist members in their apicultural rights.
→ To provide education, assistance and training to new beekeepers.
